Welcome, I am here to support you.
Somehow you found your way here and I would be honored to support you. End of Life resource finding, engaging in the difficult conversations, and decision making surrounding End of Life realities can feel unbearable. Please read on to see how I might be able to be of service as an End of Life Doula. Whether you have received a life-limiting diagnosis, or you are caring for someone near their end of life, together we will strive for more profound meaning and provide greater comfort for all involved.
“Dying is a journey through the unknown. Having a doula to accompany and guide us made such a difference. They didn’t take away the suffering, but they softened it, opened us to new possibilities of engagement, and helped us feel safe with the unexpected. I cannot imagine how I would have managed without a doula.”

Friend in Death
I am Stephanie Fox, your amicus mortis, your friend in death. I have been on a path for more than ten years exploring ways to help people face death in the most open, beautiful, and heartfelt way possible. It is my studied belief that a person facing end of life can be reluctant to be truly open with their family members about their inner feelings, and conversely, family members are reluctant to bring up difficult topics, so a lot of important communication and sentiments go unsaid. This can create loneliness and anxiety for everyone involved. It also creates a lot of missed opportunity for meaningful conversations, and what can be a most beautiful, safe, sacred time in everyones lives.
I am dedicated to help foster that communication to create these beautiful, sacred times. I will help you navigate this sacred world and bridge the gap between you, your death, and your family. My focus is unhurried and has the intention of helping you find meaning and achieve confidence. We will aim to remove all the corporeal tasks so you can focus on your sacred transition experience.
Ways I Will Help You:
Create an End of Life Plan for you, so there are no surprises and decisions to be made that haven’t been thought through ahead of time.
Identify your optimal safe environment in the realm of end of life, understanding what feels the most cofortable and important amidst the unknown.
To share the many options and resources that are available in our area, including hospices, comforts for hire, burial options, cremation options, personal transport, and mortuary options to name few. I am here to make sure you do not start from scratch, sharing my many curated resources to make these seemingly impossible decisions.
To learn your needs as we go, facilitating everything from verbal histories and writing letters, to running errands and creating visiting hours. I can be the go between for the outside world so you can concentrate on yourself and loved ones.
My goal is to empower those around you. I will work alongside, not replace, your caregivers, medical professionals and loved ones to help convey and facilitate your identified needs.
Sitting with you in silence, or just listening, which can be the most powerful experience of all.
