      <image:title>About - My Beliefs.</image:title>
<image:caption>Amicus mortis, meaning "a friend in death", is one who is passionately devoted to helping families reclaim the sacred space surrounding death that our hearts long to experience once more. As we reclaim sovereignty over our lives and collectively remember the old ways of awareness and connectedness to the Earth, we can find healing in our loss. Beginning with the diagnosis, each patient has a secret inner world. This world is often very lonely. A death doula, or amicus mortis, can help navigate this world and bridge the chasm between the dying and their family to open up beautiful lines of communication and sharing which can foster a more comfortable and meaningful death experience. Less rush, more meaning and confidence. Let’s learn together to make the experience sacred, not a chore. BRIDGE THE CHASM?? Bridge Picture My Mentorship For several months, I studied under the mentorship of Jill Schock of Death Doula LA. As a full-time death doula and advocate, her guidance and expertise helped foster a growing skillset so that I may serve the dying efficiently and with ultimate care.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Me - About Me</image:title>
<image:caption>For a decade I have been trying to figure out how to help people die more beautifully, wanting to focus on both the person nearing end-of life and their trusted inner circle. When my younger brother died in 2009, my mother and I had been at his side during hospice, but we did not have any idea what to do, what to say. We did not know to actually say goodbye each night. I was truly paralized with uncertainty until my brother’s birth mom came to visit. Her impact on me was profound to say the least, and I knew then that I wanted to help families experience death in a more beautiful way, just like Pam helped us. I emailed Pam soon after Burley’s death “You were like an angel at his bead side. You taught me so very much about how to treat people in need. I will never ever forget how you loved, caressed, and talked to so lovingly to Burley in his last days. I will remember you and try to be like you towards others for the rest of my life.” To be true to my quest I obtained my Masters in Social Work from USC in 2014, I have since studied under the mentorship of Jill Schock of Death Doula LA. As a full-time death doula and advocate, her guidance and expertise helped foster a growing skillset so that I may serve the dying efficiently and with ultimate care. My focus is on our local community here in Pasadena. Our local culture is unlike any anywhere else. Somehow you found your way here</image:caption>
